Custom
stands.

Drawn for one brand, one space, one objective. The finish of a one-off — engineered to come back.

A custom stand is the brief where the space stops being a booth and starts being a building. Levels, feature walls, integrated lighting, custom joinery, a counter that doubles as a moment — designed from your objectives rather than chosen from a catalogue. DISPLAYD builds custom on the BeMatrix frame system, so the stand reads as a one-off environment while the structure underneath is engineered, recyclable and freightable.

The studioBrief to render to build

You bring the brand and the goal for the show; we design the stand, produce photoreal renders for approval, and carry the approved design through our Botany workshop to the venue floor. What you sign off is what gets built — not an approximation of it. Every surface and element is considered: structure, graphics, lighting, flooring, AV, storage and the small details visitors actually notice.

01 — Design

Brief, concept and photoreal renders. You approve a design, not a paragraph — sightlines, levels and feature elements resolved before fabrication.

02 — Fabricate

Frames, graphics, joinery and furniture come together in one building and are test-assembled before the stand ever sees a venue.

03 — Install

We book the dock, run the bump-in, hand over a finished stand, dismantle after close, and store the kit for the next show.

The argumentOne-off look, repeatable economics

Most custom stands are built once, shown for three days and skipped to landfill — and the budget reflects it. We refuse the premise. Building bespoke on an engineered frame means the part you pay a premium for — the design, the finish, the feature elements — survives the show. The structure packs flat into known freight volumes, reconfigures between island, corner and inline positions, and costs dramatically less the second, third and tenth time it is used.

FAQCustom stand questions

What counts as a custom exhibition stand?

A stand designed from your brief rather than picked from a catalogue — its footprint, form, levels, feature walls and joinery drawn for one brand and one space. We build custom on the BeMatrix frame system, so a stand reads as a one-off environment while the structure underneath is engineered, reusable and freightable.

How much does a custom stand cost in Australia?

Custom is quoted to brief, but as a guide our island packages run from $18,700 ex GST for a 9×6m footprint with design, fabrication and installation included. Every custom quote itemises design, fabrication, freight and install so you can see where the budget goes — no single opaque number.

Do you design the stand, or do we bring a designer?

Our studio designs it. You bring the brand, the objectives and the floor position; we return concepts and photoreal renders, you approve a design rather than a description, and we carry that approved design through fabrication to the install. Supplied artwork and architect drawings are welcome — we prepress-check everything before print.

Can a custom stand be reused at the next show?

That is the point of building custom on a modular frame. The structure packs into known freight volumes, reconfigures between island, corner and inline positions as your bookings change, and redeploys to any city we service. Most clients refresh graphics each show and amortise the build over years.

How early should we brief a custom build?

Sooner is better — a flagship island wants design and approval time — but we routinely turn briefs around to tight show deadlines. The earlier we start, the more the design can do; tell us the show date and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.
